Latin pop-star Ricky Martin and rapper Nicki Minaj are the new spokespersons for the M.A.C Viva Glam campaign and so I bought both new products to review.
- Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner (Tube): M.A.C's Lip Conditioner Tube is a permanent product but the Viva Glam version is limited edition with Ricky Martin's signature printed on it in red. I'm a fan of the Lip Conditioner Stick SPF 15 but wanted to try this one, especially on my clients. It has Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Extract, Wheat Germ Oil, and Vitamins A and E. This has a petroleum-jelly texture but doesn't feel thick or goopy and goes on clear with a glossy sheen on the lips. The tube doesn't have SPF but I find it's a little more moisturizing than the stick. The squeeze tube packaging is easy to travel with and the slanted tip makes easy to apply.
- Viva Glam Nicki: Satin finish, limited edition; vivid medium warm pink. Viva Glam lipsticks have a special black and red packaging instead of their usual black and silver, with Nicki's signature printed on the inside. This color is kind of a color-changer - depending on your skin-tone and natural lip tone, depends on how the color will look on you. On my neutral fair skin-tone and light pink lips, it looks like a bright pink. On darker skin-tones, it can look more like a coral-y pink. The color is so bright and may not be for everyone but it is a fun color especially for Spring/Summer. It has a semi-matte finish and opaque pigmentation. I actually like how it looks after the color has worn off a bit, it leaves light pink stain which I think looks more wearable.
